Winter is my favourite season. It rains in winter, and I think that is why I love it so. Rain is one of a few of my favourite things (cue The Sound of Mucic "These are a few of my favourite things...")
Why winter, you might ask? Well, winter is the only time of year it is acceptable to stay in bed until all hours because it is cold, Winter means rain; rain so heavy that your clothing clings to your body like it is holding on for dear life, Winter is the time when you can sit in front of a fire with a book and a blanket. Winter is the only time of year that the weather does not effect me. I like it cold. Perhaps that is why I like the rain? (I swear in a previous life I was a polar bear or something! Maybe a penguin!?)
Winter: my favourite season, my favourite weather, and my favourite time passing activity, reading.
Rain. I love rain. It's raining as I type. I can hear it on the roof. (I am struggling to sit here any longer, I want to be outside in the rain)

Which comment? I got the one on yesterdays post, if that's what you mean?
ReplyDeleteAww thank you for your comment. Fingers crossed with Michael. You and I have something in common!! Well, kind of in a way. I love the smell after it finishes raining. Smells like all the wrong has been washed away from the world leaving it fresh and anew:)
ReplyDeleteUntil then.

Haha! I hope it ends as son as possible. Patience is not one of my virtues sadly. Well, I just finished studying D.H Lawrence's three novellas known as 'The Fox, The Captain's Doll, The Ladybird', hence the SAC. We're starting on Hedda Gabbler right afterwards. A play I heard it was. I should get to reading that as well.

Herm. Not too sure what happened with the comment. Oh well, I got it this time:) and THANK YOU again! Too kind! You have hit on a rather interesting question there - is it the same woman? It is really. It's the girl I think about every day of my life but have still yet to meet.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the michael situation too much, if he's a good friend as you say, he'll take your opinion over some long tall sally anyways:D
(I've noticed my friend Intrigued.shesays has invaded your comments too:D)
And the rain, oh, do I ever! Indescribable. Many a torrid time of mine has been contemplated standing in the rain. It's the best weather to write to as well:) And yeah, people running through rain is funny to me, it's only water. There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
Woo go me for invasions:D[referring to Shaun's comment]. I live in Australia, Melbourne. Agreed, can't wait until the beach weather approaches:D Rain is great but too much of a good thing makes it boring.
ReplyDeleteUntil next time.

I hope he does too. Don't worry about it, you can't control other people's thoughts (unfortunately :P). Ha! Funnily enough I have done all three of those things in the rain, but at radically different stages of my life. Interesting. But I have to say that SUMMER is my favourite:D
ReplyDelete(and Intrigued.shesays is an awesome invader to have if any:D She's lovely )
Wow, good thoughts though. I was actually going to put spring, but I'm thinking of the English summer, which is more like spring everywhere else:) And winter there is DEEP winter. HAHA! The sun just likes to spread the love. But I can see why you wouldn't like it so much if it's trying to burn your butt every chance it gets. And I assume you'll let us know how things go in the next day or two?
ReplyDeleteRain is the best. I am very much a winter girl too! Love everything about it :)
ReplyDeleteI like spring too, but that might be because I am a spring baby! (Born on the 1st Sept!)It generally rains alot in spring over here anyway.
:) I think you'd probably LOVE a proper winter because you get all the stuff you were talking about, plus the snow, which turns the landscape into something completely different.
ReplyDeleteCheers again:) And I'll await any further news^^
I too love it when it rains (just not all the time), the perfect excuse to cuddle up on the couch with a dvd and loads of food :-)
