Why I could just...GAH!

Have you ever had one of those nights where everything just goes wrong? So, I need to ellaborate a little!
My best friend has just started seeing this girl. That's fine, girlfriends are something I often meet! seriously, every month he is introducing another one! But this one is different. And I don't mean different in a good way. Sure, there have been attempts in the past, but nothing like this.
Michael* and I have been best friends for ages! as long as I can remember! We talk about everything! LITERALLY! So you can imagine my slight worry when he didn't call me for about a week. So, I finally get fed up after leaving a dozen messages and go over to his place! (Again, this is nothing unusual (everything, remember)) I knock on the door and his dad answers (he still lives at home). He smiles as usual and welcomes me in. He calls up the stairs for Michael*. A few moments later Michael* comes down and smiles as if the week just passed without any communication hadn't happened! I was like "OK, WTF!?!?!"
We sit down and start talking when I hear a "Michael?"* come down the stairs. The smile which had been on his face for a while now vanished. Again I was like "OK, WTF?!?!?!?" He walked over to the stairs and waited. A girl came down, she was admittedly very attractive. Michael* introduced us and she sat down on the couch opposite mine. Michael* said he had tohelp his dad int he kitchen and walked into the other room. The first words this girl said to me were (I kid you not) "So you are the bitch who wants my boyfriend?" (you can imagine my face! (meanwhile in my head a little voice is going "Excuse me??? Excuse me?! You did not just say that to my face!"))
I walked into the kitchen without saying anything to, lets call her Allison. I walked into the kitchen without sayong anything to Allison and told Michael* that I had to go. (I didn't want to be there anymore!) Michael* was a little confused, I could understand why. I said goodnight to his dad and walked out the back door. (A coward I know!) Michael* walked me down the drive to my car (the one mentioned in the last post (oh I love that car))
I drove away, whith Michael* still looking rather confused.
I got home and sat staring at the wall for a while. My phone rang, it was Michael*, but I couldn't answer it.
He sent me a text message asking if I was ok. I don't know if he knows what she said or if he was just trying to figure out why I left...?
Anyway, I am now sitting here staring at my computer screen. It has taken me a rather long time to write this. in fact, it has taken over an hour!

  1. You really are a lovely person, so generous with your praise. I thank you kindly and quietly agree. And WHEN the book does "drop", you can be assured of a personalised copy:)

p.s. Tell him what the weirdo said. Soon.

  2. Bitch and a half!! [apologies for language]. You MUST tell him as soon as you possibly can. Text him now even, after reading this comment. If not, send him a link to this blog and tell him to read the second comment on this blog.

To Michael*- read this blog, set your girlfriend straight. Tell her if she can't appreciate your friends then she has no right to be appreciated by you:)

To A Wonderland Of Thought- Apologies, but I felt a surge of anger when I read this:)

    Until then.
    xx
