Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!!! Oh, and some jewellery! :)

I think I might be a shoe addict....let me explain it a little better.

Whenever I am about to do a photo shoot, the first thing I look at are the shoes. Whenever I am walking casually down the street, I look at people's shoes. When I walk into a shopping centre, the first place I go is the shoe store. So, yeah I am a shoe addict.

You are probably thinking now, why on earth has this come up as a topic for discussion? Well, it's confession time! I got myself a new pair of shoes today. Technically they're not shoes, they are ankle boots. That means it doesn't count towards the addiction right? Because they're not really 'shoes'...? yeah, I thought not.

So, you might be asking yourself, just how many shoes do you own exactly? Well, anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a rival to Carrie Bradshaw. Yes, that many!! So, i though I would include a few images of my shoes so you can judge for yourself! Enjoy :) Oh, by the way, most of the images are from the shop where I got the shoes from, my camera has been missing in action for a few days now so I can't take photo's of my own!! grr!

The Arts

So today I went to the local art gallery. My favourite ever peice of art is in this gallery. It is by the artist Solomon J. Solomon. It is called Ajax and Cassandra. Yes, it is a slightly controversial peice of art work, but I just love it! The softness of the paint, the entire emotion of the peice and the fact that it is in my local art gallery! I have sat and studied this peice many time before today, but it seems that every time I sit in front of it, I see more. The way the smoke curls across the front of the image, the way Ajax's foot is bent on the pillar, the way the cloth is over Cassandra's body. Every time it is something different. Of course there are other peices which I do enjoy, but Ajax and Cassandra is my favourite!

My French thoughts!

I miss my french friends dearly!! They are all so very far away in France! I am looking forward to travelling over there again soon, but alas, I need money to do that! Money: the root of all problems! Beleive me, if I had money, I would probably live there! Anyhoo, I was speaking with one of my french friends yesterday on Skype (the best invention ever as far as I am concerned!) and he mentioned that they are planning their annual ski trip for this year (they go skiing every winter for new years and several weeks into the new year). The last trip I took to France I was lucky enough to accompany them on the ski trip and spend the best few weeks of my life skiing with my best friends! Mind you, I had never been skiing prior to this trip so I am sure it was very commical for everyone else (they did laugh a lot! maybe it was at me after all!) I will say that I did have many bruises at the end of the three and a half weeks! But back onto topic, my friend mentioned that they were planning the annual ski trip. He invited me to come over, but alas, the money issue again! I am sad! :( I would love to go to France to go skiing for the winter! France, tu me manques!!!!!!!!!
